Nischal
Piratla is Chief Scientist - Mobile Services & Platforms,
Innovation Development, at Deutsche Telekom, Inc., R&D Lab, USA, also in conjunction with Deutsche Telekom Laboratories (T-Labs) in Berlin.
Nischal is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science, University of California Santa Barbara.
Previously, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at T-Labs
(2005 - 08). During this tenure, he co-founded Qiro GmbH, the first
spin-off of T-Labs. Other terms in industry include,
Lucent/Avaya Inc. (2000 - 02), Seagate Inc.(1999 - 00), and CMC (India) Ltd
(1996 - 97).
Piratla received his Ph.D. and MS in Electrical
Engineering from Colorado State University in 2005 and 1999
respectively. Currently his
focus areas are Mobile Services, Architectures and Platforms. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
